In my opinion, classifying a business or any type of businesses, is not right, any thing could work all year round, except for the Christmas and holiday businesses because they are made for a purpose. There purpose is to make a meaning out of the holiday that we are celebrating, for instance we cannot go buy ornaments during the summer, we probably wont even find them, how about eggnog we cannot drink that at anytime of year it only makes sense to drink it in the winter.
The reason I say you cannot classify a business is because you could make a business especially for holidays meaning that you can have a holiday only store, like a birthday items store, Christmas items, Easter items, Independence day items, party favorite item, and all the party items that you could think of in the world but it would be very ignorant to open a store or a shop just to sell Christmas items when we all know that Christmas is only one time a year, that would be unsuccessful and unjust. What you could is open a store that is related to home warming items like selling candles, mists, welcome mats, and then make a small party section that you change with each and every holiday.
When its time for Christmas put out the Christmas decoration, when its Easter fill the place with eggs and bunnies, when its fourth of July put out aprons for cooking, making printed t-shirts and mugs, and keep the birthday party times all year round give each holiday its own respect and treat it like an individual don’t put everything all together that will never work out, I understand the point of being diverse but you should know that isn’t diversity that is just a huge business mistake that you don’t want to get yourself into as much as possible try to make your business understood so you don’t get mixed up or mix up your customers, whatever it is you decide to do think it through first and look at your competition because every single store plays on the holiday themed businesses, because they are successful but they all try to be as unique and different as they can be in order to succeed, remember each year has to be different from the next with businesses like this its always a hassle especially the Christmas businesses.
